Alkern is the French leading manufacturer of precast concrete elements providing for low-carbon construction methods for the building sector. The group additionally offers solutions for the sustainable development of cities and the drainage of surface water as well as products for outdoor design (gardens, swimming pools, pavements).
Based in the North of France, Alkern has around 50 production sites spread across France and Belgium and is committed to its Social and Environmental Responsibility as also witnessed by the obtention of an EcoVadis Gold Medal in both 2021 and 2022.
A former subsidiary of an English industrial group, Alkern has since its independence in 2010, sustained its operational excellence and ranks at the top of its market. Alkern has also continuously pursued an ambitious external growth plan with 20 acquisitions completed between 2010-2021, allowing for substantial growth with the company generating over 250M€ in sales in 2022.

With the support of Alkern’s historical managers, Chequers acquired the company in January 2017 as to assist Alkern in its buy-and-build strategy thereby consolidated its leading position across its three core business segments.2017
